Express Entry
Express Entry is said to be the fastest and most popular route to permanent residency for skilled workers. This points-based system evaluates factors like age, education, work experience, and language proficiency, and candidates with the highest scores are invited to apply for permanent residency. It's open to individuals in any country around with world with a range of skills, thus making it an accessible option for many aspiring newcomers to Canada.
There are 3 immigration programs managed through Express Entry
Canadian Experience Class: This program is for individuals who have worked in Canada on a legal status. This work experience must have been gained within the 3 years before an application is submitted.
Federal Skilled Worker Program: This program is for individuals with foreign skilled work experience – i.e., work that did not take place in Canada.
Federal Skilled Trades Program: This program is for skilled workers who are qualified in a skilled trade. Applicants must have a valid job offer in a trade occupation or a certificate of qualification from one of the provinces in Canada.
